This paper examines domestic politics in the Islamic Republic of Iran and argues that a centrist political ideology emerged in the post-Iraq-War period. It frames the Iranian political centre against factionalism, polarised ideological positions, social conservatives, free-market groups, hard-line populists, and a de-radicalised left.
