About the Book

Young Saira is embroiled in the trickeries of fate, which thrust upon her a situation that splinters her peace into a million shards; leaving Saira making very plucky choices. This story not only maps the simplicity of the untouched beauty of Kashmir, but also focusses on the realities of life that encompass poverty and endurance; nudging parallel to hope and joy, in the lives of the people who reside there. To the people in the village on the six o clock Knoll, it is easier to deal with the hampering fissures, created by nature, than dealing with fellow humans who are misled and bent on tearing apart the tranquillity of their lives. Saira, nevertheless, has no such confusions, when she is thrown into an adventure, which forces her to embark on a treacherous journey, fraught with danger and violence. Deep within her heart lies the faith that even if she is just ten years old, bravery, determination and confidence can win in any situation, however bad it is!
