Sreemati Ganguli is a Visiting Fellow, Institute of Foreign Policy Studies, University of Calcutta. She is a former Fellow of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Kolkata. She has her Ph.d. in Indo-Russian relations. Her earlier book is ‘Indo-Russian Relations: The Making of A Relationship 1992-2002’. Her last project focused on the theme of the contemporary relevance of the Silk Road concept in the post-Cold War era. Her research interests include Russian foreign as well as energy policies, Russia’s relations with the West, and energy geopolitics and security scenario in the wide region covering Eurasia and South Asia. She presented Papers in International Conferences in Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bishkek, Almaty and Novosibirsk, contributed articles in national and international edited volumes, and undertook academic trips to London, Cambridge and Stockholm. She also organized an International Conference on strategic energy scenario in contemporary Asian context.
