Monika Mandal has a Ph.D (2007) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and is a Fellow of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Kolkata. Presently she is working on the causes and dilemmas of internal displacement in contemporary Nepal.
