Madhu Bhalla was a Professor in Chinese Studies at the Department of East Asian Studies, Delhi University. She has an MA and PhD from Queen’s University, Canada. She has held teaching positions at Delhi University, the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Queens’ University, Canada. She has held a visiting fellowship at the Fudan University, Shanghai and has been a visiting scholar at the University of Sichuan at Chengdu. She is currently a member of the International Research Committee at the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies, Colombo, a member of the Governing Board of the School of Transnational Studies, Delhi University and editor of the India Quarterly, ICWA.
