Vaishali Krishna is a Faculty at the Centre for Russian and Central Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She also serves as Visiting Faculty in the School of International and Peace Studies at Nalanda University, Rajgir (Bihar), and as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Political Science at Mizoram University. A former ICSSR Postdoctoral Fellow (2017–19) and Research Scholar at the University of Cambridge, she holds a B.A. in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College (University of Delhi), an M.A. in Political Science from Hindu College (University of Delhi), an MBA in Personnel and Industrial Relations from Symbiosis, Pune, and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. from the School of International Studies, JNU. Dr. Krishna’s research and writing focus on foreign policy and security, with a particular emphasis on the geopolitics and governance of Russia, Mongolia, and Central Asia. She is the author of Mongolia and Russia: Constructive Re-engagement (New Delhi, 2015). She has published widely in national and international journals, contributed chapters to edited volumes, written numerous book reviews, and regularly participates in major conferences and media forums.
